As we grow, some of our meaningful contacts leave the earthly plane, too early.
In 2015 I lost my University
of South Florida, college friends Tom Workman and Bob Whittkamp; and Nicholas from
Tampa and Gainesville, a very loyal friend for 43 years.
I am
Godfather of his daughter Rachel. Lost my frost
point Siamese cat after (kennel to
grave) 21
years.
In 2016 I lost my cousin Diane Ellena, who
taught high
school special education. Of the 15 first cousins, on my mother's side, in my
generation, Diane was the first to pass. In 2017, 2018 and 2019: No losses of my friends or family. Lucky me!
In 2020 I lost two of my high school buddies to COVID-19. Both lived in
Illinois. I believe I will somehow experience knowing them again, on the next go-round, whatever that is.
That year I also lost my University of South Florida college friend Dale
Morehouse.
If you had a loss, keep them in your thoughts and prayers so the happy memories can live on.
