Remember my story about "The time I got sick."
There were 5 people who joined to celebrate
in Chicago on December 21, 1981, Tessy, David, Don, Peter and myself.
After we survived Carbon Monoxide poisoning, Tessy and David moved to California and had two
children. Those children are Skyler and Adriana, both above. My
great pleasure to know them all this time and watch them become beautiful
young adults.
"The time I got sick."
December 22nd is: "It Is Great To Be Alive Day". 37 years
ago (December 21, 1981), a group who first met in Florida joined to celebrate
in Chicago during a blizzard. Hot water heater vent pipe was blocked
by all the snow, carbon monoxide filled the house and we laid on the floor
dying, throwing up, unable to walk, crawl or talk. Our Lungs, all
Muscles, all Internal organs paralyzed. In the morning, someone who
knew we were in there, managed to get in and took us to the hospital.
We did not let the hospital change our blood. Carbon Monoxide binds to
the Hemoglobin in blood so oxygen can not attach, so you sleep! On
February 9th 1982 (50 days), I was able to stay awake for "8 hours, In
A Row". We met again in Florida, and decided we had lived our
lives and we died.
With our reaffirmation of life, now we have special bonus time, not to be
wasted, and we shall cherish all our cries and kisses!
Whereupon I started an 8 month journey along
the border states of the lower 48. Later made it to all 50 states,
walked in all oceans of the world and more countries than I can count.
What do I dream about? Same thing everybody dreams about. I
dream about where I'm going.
Thankful for all the So Happy miles and smiles on my clock!
Everything is Possible! I am still
having birthdays and good health, no medicine. It Is Great To Be
Alive.
If we take chances, we will have stories to tell. Live a life of
Adventure. Never give up, Never surrender!
Why stand still when there's so much life out there, life is short, Run!
